I am no expert in essential oils but in my experience, wintergreen is remarkably fast at alleviating pain...within minutes and lasts. Especially anything bone/bruised or muscular. This particular oil is not edible (at least not the one from Doterra...perhaps another brand of wintergreen has a different kind of certification but do your best to find an essential oil with credibility.
With this wintergreen, you can diffuse it or apply it only. As I understand it, most essential oils have different effects upon the body depending on whether you consume, apply or diffuse it -so it's always best to do some research first depending on what your needs are.
Last year, I continually kept hitting one toe. First time, I (for sure) broke it and then 3 weeks into it's healing, I hit it hard again!! And repeat one more time for good measure. For about two months, I was almost in constant pain and knowing you can't do much for a broken toe, I just lived with it....until my friend introduced me to wintergreen. I (no joke) applied it two or three times in one week and that toe never caused me another moments trouble. Pain gone upon moments after application. Hope this helps. Thanks so much for the inquiry...love sharing amazing natural solutions!
Wow that's amazing! I broke my toes before a festival once and couldn't go - I was in so much agony. I wish I'd heard of that then. I'd love a more detailed written post on this, and I'll most definitely resteem it, whenever you get the chance. I'm going to order some wintergreen - love Do-terra oils, and I'm so excited about your passion too! Natural solutions are the best - the thing is, we often have a handful of them and there's so much we don't know - connecting to people on Steemit here has taught me so much! I'm trying to build a solid community of natural healing advocates on Steemit, so please do watch this space, as I'd love to have you on board.
