Don't be shy to talk to people about your hobby. Surround yourself by positive lucky people such as yourself! This will generate a lot of positive energy and make you feel like entering more and will eventually lead to increased wins. Over the years I've coached a few people into this wonderful hobby, I've found that the only people who succeed in this hobby and enjoyed it are the ones that interact positively with other contestors, whether it be through contest forums, word of mouth, email or through contests clubs.

Many people are reticent to share information about current contests as they feel their odds of winning decrease, I find this assumption to be false. By being open and exchanging valuable opportunities with others with similar interests, you will learn about lots of other contests (sweepstakes/competitions) that you otherwise probably would have missed out on. Just make sure that the helpful information flows in both directions.

Remember what Carolyn Wilman aka "The contest queen" says "you can't win if you don't enter"! It's a great feeling when a fellow contestor tells you they won a contest you told them about. I once posted a fabulous trip to the Toronto Film Festival with a huge Holt Renfrew shopping spree. A young lady later messaged me to thank me for posting the trip on the forum we both used. She was new at this hobby and this was her first win! It made me so happy and still makes me smile whenever I think about it. This type of positive interaction creates good karma and motivates you to enter more and thus win more.
