Are you playing to play or playing to win?
In an era in which competitiveness is more present than ever, the people that are most successful are the one that set clearer goals and remained focused most. You don't need to have the biggest IQ, know a lot of people or actually have a lot of power. Those that really succeed are the ones that know where are going, and why. Your destiny may not be clearly defined, but if you have at least some idea about what do you like and what you don't, you have bigger chances of ending up doing what you want. The search of ourselves is not easy, but you can learn a lot by doing. Just try something new once in a while, because you never know if there is something out there that you will like more than what you are actually doing. Trying new things let us build new neural connections that allow us to connect the dots. That is why as the great Steve Jobs once said: "You can't connect the dots looking forward, you can only connect them looking backwards."
Don't overthink too much. Even though your actions decide your future, you shouldn't be so obsessed to think that if you don't do everything you said you would you won't succeed. You will make mistakes all your life, so remember, the more you fail, the most probable it is that one of those come up with a strong win. Once again, make your actions count due to things that depend on your own strength, criteria and knowledge, because if you just let luck decide, it will probably not come out as good as expected. Keep learning, keep trying and keep doing, because that is the only way we have to truly become GREAT.
Cheers,
Feli
