This is a very important time for journalism.

We are at a crossroads where we are either going to trust our media and support them or we will stand by silently as the free press is slowly dismantled by the corporate superpowers which run this country.

There needs to be more accountability in the media and in politics both. To this point, it has been too easy to knowingly deceive the American people from a platform meant to help educate the American public on current events and civil affairs.

Until those who perpetuate irresponsible journalism (like that put forward by Fox news on a near daily basis) and irresponsible politicians (like Fox news continuing to glorify President Trump) are held accountable, we can be sure that corporations will continue to sell us their narrative of the story over the factual truth.

Julian Assange is the greatest journalist who has ever lived. Wikileaks is literally the only media outlet which has never had to retract a story due to false information.

If Julian Assange is successfully prosecuted for espionage, it will set a terrifying precedent for journalists around the world.
