جورج ويا يرد الجميل لفينجر

منح لاعب كرة القدم السابق، والرئيس الحالي لليبيريا، جورج ويا، المدرب السابق لفريق آرسنال الإنجليزي، آرسن فينجر، أعلى وسام للشرف في بلاده.

كان فينجر هو من فتح أبواب أوروبا لويا، حينما طلب التوقيع معه، ليشارك مع فريق موناكو، الذي بدأ فيه مسيرته الاحترافية الناجحة.

وقال ويا، في تصريحات خلال حفل التكريم: "لم تكن مجرد مدرب، أو مدير نتعامل معه، بل كنت بمثابة أب بالنسبة لي وللعديد من اللاعبين الأفارقة، الذين شاركوا تحت قيادتك".

ويعتبر هذا الوسام هو أعلى تكريم، يمكن أن يحصل عليه الشخص لعمله في المجال الإنساني، أو لقيامه بأعمال لدعم الأمة وشعبها

                          George Wia returns to Vinger

The former footballer, current president of Liberia, George Wia, former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, was awarded the highest honor of his country.

Wenger was the one who opened the doors of Europe when he asked to sign with him to join the Monaco team, where he started his professional career.

"It was not just a coach or manager we deal with, but I was a father to me and to many African players who participated under your leadership," he said during the ceremony.

This award is the highest honor a person can receive for his work in the humanitarian field, or for doing work to support the nation and its people
