Glenmorangie Tùsail

Hello connoisseurs friends. If you are looking for suggestions / info you are right here. I introduce you regularly to great whiskeys with their special features. My taste is of course subjective. Thanks to the diversity that exists, I think there is for every whiskey lover the right whiskey that tastes great - or what do you think? Send your suggestions for your favorite whiskey. If a whiskey is offered more often, chances are it will be one of my tastings.

The first in the series is an unusual representative of the Single Malts from Scotland, which was made with an already forgotten cereal to restore the special flavor of earlier Wiskys. And what a hammer was the first sip ... ... Not cheap (about 120 €) but certainly worth the price or what do you think? Glenmorangie was taken over by Moet Hennessey without losing quality. Special features such as a soil in the warehouses were also maintained.
Aroma: Malt with nut flavors. A touch of orange with some toffee.
Taste: Nut caramel, sweet malt and dates. There are the typical distiller's of Glenmorangie such as peach, orange and smoked pears.
Finish: is very long and caressing. There is time to forward and enjoy.
Drum Type: Ex Bourbon Barrels (American Oak Barrels). Storage in halls with open ground.
Each year, Glenmorangie fills an unusual, limited edition single malt in her Private Edition. This is number 6.
The bottling Tùsail, Gaelic for Origin, is characterized by the grain used. The Maris Otter winter barley was formerly v.a. commercially grown for English craft beer. Since the yield of other varieties was higher, Maris Otter fell into oblivion. Dr. Bill Lumsden traditionally malted the grain by hand and distilled this single malt. He has 46% and can be even more "opened" with a few drops of water - what is your experience with it?
Next time, I introduce you to an unusually low-priced but nevertheless high-quality single malt, which receives praise from beginners in my whiskey tastings. He should not be missing in any bar.
