The Wax
Greetings Steemians,
This candle caught my eye earlier, and I felt very relaxed while gazing deeply into the layers of melted wax.
After experiencing a nice relaxed feeling from the candle light and liquified wax, I wondered what some black and white photos might look like.
These are taken with Samsung smartphone, and it takes pretty decent photos and is much easier to work with than my digital Samsung WB100 camera. Plus the camera takes AA batteries, which can get expensive quickly if you're shooting for hours.
This went well enough that I might plant for a more professional candle shoot with the better camera.
It would be cool if I can get some semi macro wax shots. It's like a little world inside the melted wax, and I would love to see deeper into it.
That is it for now. I enjoy finding beauty in simple things, and I hope you all found some beauty in these as well.
I will add an original color photo at the bottom. These were not modified to black and white, but rather a black and white pre capture filter was applied, which allows the person taking the photo to fine tune the ambiance they wish to achieve.
My favorite photography technique is the rule of thirds, but I did not willfully apply it to these captures. I was more interested in getting a contrasting balance of light and dark, while naturally drawing the focal point to the mid section, the wax.
Did I succeed with any of them? I hope so :)
Thanks to all the amazing people who are so supportive of my content, I do my best to visit you all and engage, sometimes I fall behind with engagement. I do my best to visit as much as I can. Thank you to the Wherein team as well, for being one of the most supportive dapps on the Steem blockchain, with a wonderful community, and the amazing #musicfortsteem community, you are all so talented and supportive. I have to get to work on some music soon. New guitar strings are a must first.
That's it for now, more to come in the future. Much love!

it's worth watching and experiencing. The title reminds me of an old movie called The House of wax .
Thank you my friend <3
This sounds like an interesting, and maybe creepy movie.
I found beauty in the wax. Worth experiencing! Your pictures are very interesting. Beauty in everything!
Thank you for the compliment my friend. I am pushing myself to find inspiration. It is tough lately, but I'm not gonna give up.
Hi Jake, how are you doing? Wow ... your pictures are very interesting. Either black and white or colored. Candlelight in the dark can indeed provide relaxation. I also like the principle of life of the candle who is willing to sacrifice for others. Have a nice day, Jake.
I'm doing well my friend.
I hope you are well. Yes candles are very relaxing and nice to share in the presence of others.

Indeed, beauty in simple things. When you look at things with beauty in your eyes, you see beauty in everything. :-)
