WHAT YEAR IS IT?

The year will depend if it is counted since the Creation of the world, or the birth of historical Jesus Christ, or your own birth, or something else.

The corrent year, calculating..., is 1727 (2024) if 297 years that were added from 614 CE to 911 CE are removed.

Then, since 1AD is counted from when Jesus Christ was supposedly born, and since the historical Issa Caesarion was born on 23 June 47 BCE in Alexandria, that means we have to add 47 to 1727 to determine the actual year since his birth and thus beginning of the Christian era, making current year 1774 AD / CE. The whole reason why his father Julius Caesar has dropped old Roman calendar in favour of new Julian, which begun in 45 BC.

Wikipedia: "1 AD. Birth of Jesus, as assigned by Dionysius Exiguus in his anno Domini era according to at least one scholar.

However, most scholars think that Dionysius placed the birth of Jesus in the previous year, 1 BC. Furthermore, most modern scholars do not consider Dionysius' calculations authoritative, placing the event several years earlier."

"In the Roman Empire, AD 1 was known as the "Year of the consulship of Gaius Caesar and Lucius Paullus", and less frequently, as the year AUC 754 (see ab urbe condita). The denomination "AD 1" for this year has been in consistent use since the mid-medieval period when the Anno Domini (AD) calendar era became the prevalent method in Europe for naming years. It was the beginning of the Christian era/common era. The preceding year is 1 BC; there is no year 0 in this numbering scheme. The Anno Domini dating system was devised in AD 525 by Dionysius Exiguus.

The Julian calendar, a 45 BC reform of the Roman calendar, was the calendar used by Rome in AD 1."

However, to make things more confusing, 500 to 1000 years were added to various historical figures and events. Emanuel Velikovsky wrote about it in his book Worlds in Collision, as well many other historians have pointed out dating inconsistencies as evidenced by actual archeological evidence.

So, what year is it? Depending on what calendar:

Caesarion 1 January 1774 CE
Gregorian 1 January 2024 AD
Julian 19 December 2023 AD
Byzantine 1 January 7533 AM
Hebrew 20 Tevet 5784 AM
Biblical d.7 m.1 y.1 OC

CE - Common Era
AD - Anno Domini
AM - Anno Mundi
AB - Anno Braun
OC - Of Creation

SUPPLEMENTARY

My position on the days of the strong is simple, the goings of the sun is what brings day and night, thus the only actual day that there is is Sunday. Once the first six Sundays of Creation ended the seventh Sunday remains as eternal day of rest. The bible simply did not mention other planets as bringers of days. The biblical 1st month is Babylonian Nissan, which is in Spring, the Romans celebrate new year in March also. With 13 months lunar calendar adopted to the current Gregorian solar one, September is 7th, October is 8th, November is 9th, December is 10th, January (Janus two faced god of portals and gateways) is 11th, February is 12th, March (marching towards new year) is 13th, April Fools being New Year, day out of time, with April 2nd actually being 1st of April.

So, according to my lunar-solar calendar today (January 2nd 2024 CE) is December 24th 13,001 AB. Happy Chrisings! ♡
