Whales Making Thousands on Self-Votes!
6 whales made over $1000 on self-votes last week
How much do whales make for self-voting?
The algorithm used for this report pulls the top 200 users with the most SP on hand. Meaning that it pulls users based on their net SP (SP - delegated SP + received delegated SP).
Some of the posts have not paid out at the time of the analysis, and it should also be noted that the dollar figures are based on the same dollar figure used by Steemit. So if a post will payout $25, I have given you the total post payout (at the time I pulled the data) and the amount of that payout that can be attributed to the author's self-vote.
A final point to note, is that these numbers are only for posts that an author has self-voted. So, for example @utopian-io obviously earns more than is shown in this chart (and it should be noted, helps others to earn as well), but the goal of this chart is simply to show earnings based off of self-voting.
So, without further ado, here are all of the self-voter earnings for the Top 200 users for last week (April 9th- April 15th):

Wow I made a whole..1.38..phew.
Don't spend it all in one place.
Isn't it kind of the point of this platform to seek the upvotes of the biggest whales and if you happen to be one, then vote away! If you think about it you your own printing press and turn digital dreams into real ones.
Not really
Well I wrote a blog similar to yours, but I called Whales Gods and minnows humans. I to have noticed that this environment parodies life to a tee. Yes the rich get richer and the poor need to be great and get noticed by the rich, so that they to can become a whale. It is what it is and my complaining lost me my largest benefactor. We just needs to keep working it and then when we are in their position, it will be up to us on how we can disseminate our votes. Besides as I understand it most of the Whales are bots anyway. I know Haejin is for sure.
And this is why I support end-users using and profiting from the bidbots.
Fight for your share. Buy, rent or bid on your share!
These konds of posts make me wonder how stupid I am for not self-voting because I want others to earn curator rewards... sigh...
I agree it is stupid to not self upvote. :) No offense intended.
Build your account, nobody is going to do it for you.
For this reason I think we need to add changes to the protocol. I just published a proposal to reduce self-voting and voting-rings, maybe you are interested.
