Your Friend

Mr Bright returned all the scripts except Jonny’s. Jonny was not comfortable because he knew something was wrong. His friend did the assignment for him. Finally Mr Bright called him out, gave him his script and said ‘ Jonny, I want you to read what you have written in the hearing of the class'. Jonny refused. He then called Joy and ask her to take the script from Jonny and read it aloud she took it, looked at it and started laughing. Mr Bright laughed as well and all the students started laughing. After a few seconds, he wavbe his hand and the class became quiet again. Joy started reading thus “ The name of my father is goat. He is an animal but he lives with human being. He is as black as the devil and …” Before she fineshed the first paragraph, everybody was already rolling on the floor. After about three minutes Mr Bright ordered the class to be calm. He asked jonny who did the assignment for him and he told him that his friend Jack did. When asked the reason, Jack said “I want quite our friendship because Jonny doesn’t know any thing.
Twelve years later, Jack and Jonny met and after exchanging pleasantries, they started talking .
Jack: I lost my job three months ago and life has been very tough.
Jonny: I wish you were trustworthy. My boss asked me employ someone I trust to replace a worker who just retired.
Jack: what do you mean?
Jonny: don’t tell me that you have forgotten what you did to me when we were in secondary school. Jack, I will not help you because if you were in my shoes you would not.
Lesson : your friends are important to you. Do not treat them harshly when they need your help because one day you will as well need their help. If a friend has a bad character, try influencing him but do not abuse him. Keep a distant from a bad friend but don’t quite the friendship completely. Understand the everyone has his weakness. Try and accommodate another persons attitude. Do not espect him to behave the way you do and dont be selfish.
