West Indies going to Pakistan
Pakistan's cricket authorities are trying their best to revive international cricket in Pakistan. There has been no test in Pakistan since March 2009. In 2015, the Test player Zimbabwe took part in the limited-overs series in Pakistan, but the PCB could not take anyone there until now. But there are some changes in the situation.The West Indies will tour Pakistan to play in the three-match T-20 series next month. The games will be held in Karachi. The PCB took a big initiative on the return of cricket in Pakistan last year. After the final of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) event, they organized a Twenty-Series series against Pakistan with World XI. Apart from this, a T20 series against Sri Lanka has also been held there.
The West Indies tour is, however, different from other reasons. Although the selection of Lahore for the short series or series so long, the PCB has convinced the West Indies team to play in the port city of Karachi. No international match was played in Karachi's national stadium after the series against Sri Lanka in 2009.
PCB chairman Nazmeth Sethi said three Twenty20 matches will be played against the West Indies on April 1 and 2, respectively. Earlier, on March 25, the PSL Final will be held in Karachi.
Karachi, the largest city in Pakistan In 1955, Karachi started its international tour with a Test match against India. The first one-day match at the venue was against West Indies in 1980. There were several matches in the World Cup in 1987 and 1996 in the field of 24 thousand capacity. Viv Richards played 181 against Sri Lanka in the World Twenty20 in this World Cup.
