Green energy of WePower
When it comes to ecological safety of traditional and renewable energy, without any doubt the second one is the winner called not by chance "green" energy. We can talk a lot about the diseases caused by coal and nuclear power plants: radiation, coal miners deaths, carbon dioxide emissions, global warming, but the main shortcoming of the traditional types of energy is the finite.
Critics of green energy said that it is developing only thanks to government subsidies and tax breaks. The cost of green energy is higher than the traditional derived from the combustion of hydrocarbons and splitting of atomic nuclei.
But the truth is that alternative energy is becoming more cost effective every year even without subsidies.
I did a little research in this area and was pleasantly surprised with the results.
The main role in the development of renewable energy sources is still owned by governments. In Europe a leader in this field is Germany. USA, Canada,Mexico,Ireland,Cuba, Saudi Arabia intend to get at least half of energy by 2025 from renewable sources.
According to experts in the next 15-20 years renewable energy source will be the fastest growing segment of world energy. Renewable energy will reduce the countries dependence on energy imports and will help to fight against monopolies in this sector of the economy. And the main obvious economical advantage of renewable energy that electricity prices from wind turbines and solar panels do not jump sharply as the prices of oil and coal. This allows the companies to develop the clear plan for future expenses.
For example the company Google at the end of 2017 switched completely the power supply to solar and wind power plants, becoming the world's largest buyer of renewable energy, second place takes the company Amazon,next one the Microsoft.
The transition of big companies to renewable energy is a good help for industry. A doubling of the powerstation capacity allows the energy producers to scale and reduce cost (solar energy -by 20%, wind - 12%).So, the more companies and ordinary people go to the consumption of green energy, the lower will be the prices.
What is Wepower?
The platform WePower plans to solve the main problem of the construction of "green" energy plants.
Previously banks lent about 80% of the funds for the construction of renewable energy facilities,now for the loan you must have at least 50% of own means.There are a large number of great energy projects but with insufficient funding.
WePower – a project that will allow these projects to receive investments through the issuance of private tokens. Energy is tokenized based on kWh unit, token represents 1 kWh to be produced and delivered by fixed price in the future
Users will be able to buy , sell energy tokens at below market price.
What is the value of WPR?
The value of WPR token should grow together with success of WePower.All WPR tokens accumulate the energy due to donations from producers,increasing the value with real energy.The more participants from both sides (buyers and sellers) join the platform the higher value should have the WPR token. According to the roadmap and ambitions of the team to implement the project in 2018, the value of the token and capitalization can grow many times over.

Perspectives of WePower
According to the roadmap , the construction of the grid of solar power plants planned in Spain,and this is not surprising ,because this country has a great number days of sunshine in a year. The real putting into service of the first objects is planned this autumn.
Green energy companies Conquista solar, Civitas project and Novacorex will pour 1,000 MW into eco-system and raise capital by issuing their own energy tokens and then to produce and deliver this energy to the Spanish energy wholesale market.
My Conclusion
The Wepower platform is ready and run in demo version.Team is large and the management team is experienced - Co-founders (Nikolaj Martyniuk and Arturas Asakavicius )were involved both in energy,law and fintech sectors for many years.There are several strong partnerships , of which I can identify a transmission system operator Elering , also Bitcoin suisse and Bancor. WePower enables green energy producers raise capital by selling kWh in advance, opens the energy trading market for anybody around the globe. We can mention again all the financial benefits for WPR holders , they are obvious. But in the end of my article i'd like to talk about something else.
I believe that we all can contribute to the fight against global warming and help save the ecosystem of our green planet for our children and project WEPOWER is a good start.

I like the WEPOWER idea/concept
My concerns are that we the people are on the hook for over 2 billion in failed green energy companies and raising. Last month 2 of the largest solar company asked for a bailout/bankrupt. As prices go down it put a hugh strain on the whole industry. So we should see more ane more companies fail with US backed loans. I like and support green energy,the current system on funding and implementation is not working.

thanks for your response. I've been trying to put up a wind gen here at my house for the past year and it would take 20 yrs to recover my int investment. if I had that much cash around to invest. I'm hopping for prices to come down and tech to advance. I am following you i'm interested in the subject and look forward for more of your posts
