RE: Smokin', Tokin', Cash Heartbroken? Wary Check on Your New Neighbor On The Blockchain …

in #weedcash5 years ago

Your right Smoke is cool. But no matter which block chain, or front end you like better, one thing that is important, showing the world how wonderful this herb is, and teaching and learning from each other, weather it be growing, or just becoming a better person. Much love to you, and everyone on the block chain. :)

Totally! It's just … I got called a loudmouth recently and wanted to honor my new role. :D
Much love to you, your wife, children, and cannababies! <3

I wonder who would ever think that? 🤔your mouth is quiet, reserved, polite and a reasonable volume 😋

I know, right? :P

Smoke.io is just a basic rip off of Steem. I mean clone. Its cute. Smoke.io is more like the little kid next door trying to dress up like the movie stars they see on TV!

Whenever anybody brings up that argument in a world built on open source systems, they immediately lose any credibility. The open source world embraces, in fact cries for, forks.

The more such platforms there are the more legitimate they become. And the more chance they have to accumulate larger market caps.

Protective snooty behavior is a deterrent. But we excel at deterring devs by protective behavior here on Steem. Which is also visible in the Steem market cap btw.

Until any of these social chains, that includes also the many on ETH, land a major company or campaign... every clone and copycat further consolidate the existence and reality of our being. But we still are a product without genuine market fit, only one with users and a high dependence on the BTC market.

Bring on the clones, more even. And let those who do not understand how open source, and large ecosystems, become a force whittle away in their cute small world.

PS: Uncle Keynes is proud of you. Yet, he wasn't the most successful economist either. We are yet to see whether tokenization will lead to increased Steem marketcap or may actually further erode the value of STEEM due to Steem inherently being a down pressure market and there not necessarily being any scarcity due to that.

Welcome to weedcash, welcome to smoke, welcome to whaleshares, and also Scorum. May there be many more and maybe all, including Steem, will go on to change the world. Maybe that means that someone will bring a further, and better evolution. But until there is genuine utility and scarcity it's all just... waffle.

Smoke.io takes market cap away from the blockchain of steem, most steem users went there and brought their steem. Where as weedcash only increases steems value.

As I said above: the priority is cannabis. I'm not a fan of growth no matter what. That's the paradigm that got us where we are today. Natural growth! Like my cannababies! Like love! :P

not to mention the fact that steem is unpopular for very good reasons. Friends of mine don't wanna come here. But they are looking forward to enter the smoke niche, soon.

Probably because you don't even know how it works and explains it wrong to them haha... Will you tell them that you are sending them to an even darker and more neglected corner of the blockchain social media world? Nah probably not. Have fun with your silly smoke.io tokens. Weed cash is ran by a good, intelligent and og steemian who is a witness on steem. All I gotta say. Have fun in your corner of the world.

Dude! I send you lots of love. I just chose between facepalm with my plants and sending you lots of love. How do you like my decision?

Natural growth isn't stealing someone's blockchain idea and really only slightly changing the reward setup. 😂😂😂 pretty damn unoriginal. Btw I'm pretty sure a major witness for smoke.io is the person running Weed cash😂😂😂

What if the license of that blockchain explicitly states that it can be forked?

Or do you think the virtual internet open source gods held a weapon against Dan Larimer's head when he decided on the license? Even more when he updated the license to even allow for the creation of a new genesis block.

Not sure what theft you're on about but I suggest you take it to court and listen to what they decide, especially why they will not consider aa case over your complaint.

Bring reason to the table not merely emotional pettiness, please.

Sorry my apologies for using the word 'steal' or 'stole'. Copied would have been a better word. Your getting quite defensive and getting deep, I like it! I think I made my point pretty clear and I'm still not clear whether or not this post is satire but from the conversation in Discord is sounding like it was 100% satire but the comments here suggest otherwise. It did trigger me like the good 'old' emotional Millennial that I am😂(Although growing up as a kid having a cordless phone was cutting edge tech.) and leads me to believe that it wasn't satire.

I don't think spending a year-and-a-half on Steem investing a lot of time into and investing money into it while really dedicating myself to it is being petty when you watch the activity on the blockchain go down, the market cap taking a hit albeit when I checked months back I believe it was around 1 million that transfered over? I just remember it was a significant amount.

Instead of creating a front end for Cannabis on steem it was copied and took people away.

So yeah I take ownership into my investment and time put on to steem and it's just irritating to see all the smoke groupies that are talking crap about Steam when that's the sole reason smoke.iO is even around and the majority of the people on smoke.IO would not be around at all if it wasn't for Steem probably be on Facebook or Twitter still. We all would be aside from the WordPress people.

I don't mince words and can be a little too short and precise in a PC world where everything has to be awesome and everyday is Taco Tuesday.

I agree with a lot of what your saying. Your not saying things just to say them or acting like your in an echo chamber. And after running 10 miles right this all seems silly as we probably will be on meos and steem.

As far as Dan L goes I don't know dude. He sure is creating good fud and making contracts with governments not to mention a major marketing layout for eos and meos. It is very alluring considering both steem and smoke are working the way they are specifically because of him. The dude is brilliant.

I'm kind of wondering where electronium will go and what Google is planning on developing.

I am not defensive albeit being a cannabis advocate and also a witness (member) on smoke.io. I'm merely stating what I think are important factors to be considered before labeling copycat/clone/whatnots.

AFAIK none of the top 20 witnesses removed any witness vote from the creator of weedcash. Or any of the other witnesses who are weedcash discord admins.

We are a small niche and still advocate pro acceptance. Most of us are first #legalizeit advocates. Then witnesses, of which the main task is to sign blocks without missing too many.

All that means is that it emphasizes the legitimacy of the sector by having more platforms.

Eventually both platforms may evolve differently (depending on the evolution of SCOT weedcash is a content site with Steem's rewards mechanics integrated where smoke is a fully fledged blockchain). I also think that it will be interesting to see how all platforms approach the actual struggle, user acquisition, going forward.

Let's all first focus on getting users, creating utility, and eventually - hopefully - enjoy scarcity. Without those we are merely at the mercy of BTC markets. Dancing it's dance, rather poorly as we can see when doing a simple ×3 right now and comparing the marketcap of each token to its value when BTC was at 20k.

Maybe the real thief is they who created the markets/scene in the first place. Those satoshis are bringing us value and at the same time taking it away. 🤔

Lastly, it didn't take people away. If people left Steem for smoke then it means that they saw more (future) value in smoke than in the known issues Steem suffers from. You can blame smoke for that, but alternatively you could assess that rationally rather than throwing stones. The blame game helps Noone, not your preferred platform either because it means you focus on the emotional side rather than on possible improvements. And it also makes you seem colonial, expressing ownership over... something which isn't yours in the first place but every users.

BTW I come from the Usenet era, not sure what you mean about PC and thinking that you may not have fitted the era rather than that you expressed libel/slander (depending on whether you consider this chat or publishing). I wouldn't know what that taco thingamingy is either since I abhore the sheeple cult and it's submission to the prowess of marketing. I see very little dynamic, I see blind fanboyism and stuckupism.

Wake up. Steem isn't the promised land and will never be until the fanboyism evolves in more rational assessing and subsequent acts.

… now you're mixing up different conversations in a pretty intransparent and dishonest way. I never mentioned "satire". Your communication style is not appreciated over here. Maybe just leave, @dynamicgreentk

I know. I wonder about your sentiment, bro. Maybe have a spliff? Interesting idea of the word "stealing" you have.
