Wednesday walk, keeping my distance.
My wednesday walk,
in isolation.
It started on the road.
and continued into the woods,
Asphalt turned to dirt beneath my feet &
Fear of passing other humans fades away
Into the breeze.
Only my shadow followed, too closely,
Still.
I touched things with my bare hands.
It felt safe to.
and the dirt beneath my feet began to change.
Into sand!
and I couldn’t be happier,
Until I saw a glimpse of blue,
and I don’t mean the sky.
then a glimpse more.
I made it to the sea.
And not all, but some,
Of my troubles washed away.
this is a #wednesdaywalk for @tattoodjay ‘s challenge.
Now more than ever, I am so grateful to go for a walk. I know that many people in the world don’t live in secluded areas, and so they aren’t able to. To those people: I hope my walk photos bring you peace while you wait this out inside. It’s terrifying, this pandemic, but the birds are chirping and Mother Earth is breathing, and we, too will get through it.
Walk responsibly.
xx Monique
