Nature tripping - Wednesday Walk

It´s so easy to do some nature tripping in our area because all are within the proximity of our house. As we live in the outskirts of the city, we are lucky to be very near this wonderful place. Bordering Lower Austria, we simply drive, bike or walk and we can reach this place and relax.

I went by car though to save time passing this cherry tree-lane. It was blooming the other week and now the cherries begin to show up. I parked the car carefully on the street side just in case the farmer passes by with his tractor on this road. We used to walk our then dog Ako, the rottie, and sometimes we met a few horseback riders. We were so vigil holding Ako tightly as we didn´t know his reaction every time the horses pass by. Thank God, nothing of a problem, we had a good-mannered dog. Nowadays, it´s Lily´s, (the chihuahua princess of my mom in-law) turn to have the pleasure of walking with us here. Sometimes, in a far away distance, we encountered a couple of deers and rabbits along the windbreaker trees when the weather was clear.

Walking a bit further, I passed by the man made lake for the locals of the area. It´s blue colored water is very inviting... unfortunately, one cannot swim in this lake if one is not a resident of the area.

I drove past the small bridge and a few meters more, I arrived at the end of the even fields and parked the car again where we go with the dog left and right. We simply walk here going to the small water reservoir behind the trees at the end of this path.

Crossing the road, to the right, is also a pathway going to the woods. The small lilac bush is also the source for my wildflower arrangements.

This is a young forest made by the farmers to break the gusty winds coming from the fields above this area. The said area has been planted with the yellow rapes as well as Asparagus.

Standing in front of this rapes field, I took a photo of the distant 22nd District where the UN Headquarters is located. The city center is somewhere on the left side of this image.
