Tuim failure | Туимский провал

In Khakassia there are many interesting places where you can go on a day off: caves, lakes, clusters of ancient menhirs and sacred mountains with petroglyphs and the remains of fortress walls. Apart from all these attractions is the Tuim failure. Firstly, he is very young, his appearance and development took place in front of local residents. Secondly, the Tuim failure is the work of human hands, a technogenic catastrophe occurred, apparently due to the fault of mine surveyors and bombers.

В Хакасии много интересных мест, куда можно съездить на выходной день, это: пещеры, озера, скопления древних менгиров и священные горы с петроглифами и остатками крепостных стен. Особняком от всех этих достопримечательностей стоит Туимский провал. Во первых, он очень молод, его появление и развитие происходило на глазах местных жителей. Во вторых Туимский провал - дело человеческих рук, техногенная катастрофа произошедшая, видимо, по вине маркшейдеров и взрывников.

200 километров от Абакана и вот мы стоим на смотровой площадке провала. Раньше здесь был рудник, на котором добывали медно-молибденовые руды.

Ore mining was carried out in an explosive way and in the middle of the 20th century, collapses became more frequent, the top of the mountain began to sag. The mine was mothballed. In the seventies of the last century, local residents began to lose cattle, in search of missing cows, people climbed a mountain and found a hole in diameter of about ten meters. The perimeter of the failure was constantly increasing and by the end of the eighties reached seventy meters. In the early nineties, a small earthquake occurred in these places, as a result of which the diameter of the hole grew to two hundred meters, and a lake with blue water formed below. The depth of the lake in some places exceeds one hundred meters, and the water, even in the middle of summer, does not warm up above several degrees.

The Tuimsky failure owes its popularity to the TV show Travelers Club, where Yuri Senkevich showed a film about the failure. Since then, the Tuim failure has attracted fans of extreme sports, sometimes these visits end tragically: in July 2019, the head of the Tomsk scuba club Naiad died at a depth of 75 meters.

Добыча руды велась взрывным способом и в средине 20 века участились обвалы, вершина горы стала проседать. Рудник законсервировали. В семидесятых годах прошлого века у местных жителей начал теряться скот, в поисках пропавших коров люди поднялись на гору и обнаружили провал в диаметре около десяти метров. Периметр провала постоянно увеличивался и к концу восьмидесятых годов достигал уже семидесяти метров. В начале девяностых годов в этих местах произошло небольшое землятресение в результате которого диаметр провала вырос до двухсот метров, а внизу образовалось озеро с голубой водой. Глубина озера в некоторых местах привышает сто метров, а вода даже в средине лета не прогревается выше нескольких градусов.​

Своей популярностью Туимский провал обязан телепередаче "Клуб путешественников", где Юрий Сенкевич показал фильм о провале. С тех пор Туимский провал привлекает любителей экстремального спорта, иногда эти посещения заканчиваются трагически: так в июле 2019 года на глубине 75 метров погиб руководитель томского клуба аквалангистов "Наяда".​

To get inside the failure, you need to make your way through the tunnel beginning at the foot of the mountain, the tunnel is partially flooded, and although now it is midwinter, in some places there is water in the tunnel and smells of hydrogen sulfide.

Чтобы попасть внутрь провала, надо пробраться по тоннелю начинающимуся у подножия горы, тоннель частично затоплен, и хотя сейчас средина зимы, местами в тоннеле стоит вода и пахнет сероводородом. ​

Inside the hole, on the ice, there are many stones breaking off the sheer walls. In the walls, drifts are visible with rails sticking out in some places. The mere thought that a hundred-meter depth is below you is somehow uncomfortable and there is a desire to return to solid ground as soon as possible.

Внутри провала, на льду множество камней, оборвавшихся с отвесных стен. В стенах видны штреки с торчащими кое где рельсами. От одной мысли, что под тобой стометровая глубина, делается как-то неуютно и возникает желание поскорее вернуться на твердую землю.​
