My Lil Sister Wedding Preparation

Today I would like to share a short story about my Little Sister Wedding Preparation.. Yess, She will marriage on February 15, 2020.. Insya Allah...

Since last year, around Nopember, we start wedding preparation,and we still have one stage again before the “Big Day”…

First, we start with “Family Gathering”. It happened on Nopember, 2nd, 2019.. at this time, immediate family from both of us, meet to know each other.. My lil sister future husband family visited our home, bring Cakes and Fruits as souvenir. We introduce ourself, how many siblings we have, working places, etc. Not in formal discussion of course, its so relax, like when we visiting our friend house, and then we do chat about everything.. The main purpose here is to knowing each other, coz marriage is not about unite a man and a woman, but also to unite two family..

Second, buy all stuff such as Cloths for family member, not only from my mom side, but also from my dad side.. Yess, we bought Batik (one of Indonesian traditional cloths) for our uncle and dress for our aunty. In wedding party, all family member usually use same dress, we make the different only in colour. This time, family from my mother side will use green colour and from my father side will use blue colour.

We bought all those Batik and Dress in Tanah Abang Market (the largest textile market in Southeast Asia). This market has existed since 1735. We can bargain the price, this is what I like when shopping in this market.. don’t ask how big the market is, its biiiiiig enough, we came this place twice, one day isn’t enough, hehehehe, coz we try to find best price, so we entering one store, and then another store, and so on til we deal with the price.. much more u buy, u will get much more less price..

Third, Enggagement day.. yeaaaayyy… this is happened on December 22, 2019.. yupz… finally,,, there is something new in my lil sister left finger,,, A RING… its formal process before wedding day… Ring is a symbol marriage.. here, after the groom say a vow, he will put the ring in right hand finger, vise versa.. but since its still engagement, so the ring will put in left hand finger..

For this event, my mom n my aunty cooked some dishes, such as Sup Bakso (Meatball Soup), Sambal Goreng Hati (potato + beef liver seasoning with coconut water, garlic, shallot, chili, candlenut, sugar n salt), Ikan bumbu kuning (fish seasoning with turmeric, garlic, shallot), and ayam bumbu kecap (chicken with soy sauce)… but I forgot to take a photo… hufffffhhhh… 

Now im getting hungry remember those dishes..hahahaha…

Fourth, Fitting the dress… we did this on December 24, 2020.. Trying two different types of dress for wedding party.. yeps,, only two.. we rent the dress for the party, but we made the dress for the marriage vow..

i think thats enough for now.. we still have one step more… Qur’an Recital before the “Day”.. wish all plan run smoothly…
