One of the most impressive waterfalls in the world!

in #waterfall7 years ago

Bigar waterfall seems detached from a tropical landscape, but beyond all expectations, you can find it in the Minis Valley in Anina Mountains - Romania. This waterfall has recently arrived in the forefront of the most spectacular waterfalls in the world, managing to beat targets with greater renown, including 'Eternal Flame' waterfall from Chestnut Ridge Park in New York and the 'Asik-Asik' waterfall from Philippines.

Another unique aspect about the waterfall is that it is right on the parallel line 45. It is very little known in Romania, but this waterfall attracts tourists from all over the world. Bigar source is a reservation which was founded in 1982 and is part of the National Park 'Nerei-Beusnita'.

The reservation represents a key area, steep limestone valleys, sinkholes and a lot of springs. Bigar is a powerful fountain fed by underground watercourse that crosses the homonymous cave. After about 200 m, the spring water flows into the river Minis on a rocky threshold, creating the tufa waterfall Bigar.

The World Geography declared as the most beautiful in the world, after an international tour guide from National Geographic Traveler - Romania, presented for the first time this incredible waterfall in the tourist specialized press.

Bigar waterfall is hiding after a roadside guardrail, has nine meters high and it can be seen from the top of the balustrade from the street. The tourists who want to see other sights and learn the legend surrounding the waterfall can visit fount Bigar, grotto, and the area.
