How Much Water We Should Drink? Benefits and side effects of drinking water.

The other name of water is life and life without water is impossible. 60 to 70% of our body is water. Human can stay alive no more than 7 days without water in normal situation. So undoubtedly it is important to drink enough water to stay fit.

Need of drinking water can be different for different people.

People who lives in desert needs to drink more water than people who live in winter based countries. Need of water can be different depending on work. a day labour needs more water than those who works in Offices. Need of water varies on work, age, height, weight, weather, sex etc.

How much water we should drink

Normally average people can stay fine drinking 2 liter of water daily.Because almost that much water our body drains a day. But you have to drink much more than that if you do hard works because a hard working person drains more than that. At the end of the day, no one can tell you exactly how much water you need. This depends on the individual.

Does More Water Help Prevent Health Problems?

Yes it does in many ways.

  • Acne and skin hydration: There are a lot of anecdotal reports about how water can help hydrate the skin and reduce acne. So far, no studies have confirmed or refuted this.
  • Cancer: Some studies show that those who drink more water have a lower risk of bladder and colorectal cancer, although other studies find no effect.
  • Kidney stones: Increased water intake may decrease the risk of kidney stones.
  • Weight loss: drinking it about a half hour before each meal can make you automatically eat fewer calories. Both of these effects contribute to weight loss.
  • Helps your brain function: Many people claim that if you don’t stay hydrated throughout the day, your energy levels and brain function start to suffer.And there are plenty of studies to support this.

  2. Sugar Cravings
  3. Hunger
  4. Dry Mouth
  5. Headache
  6. Sleepiness
  7. Muscle Cramps
  8. Bad Breath
  9. Lower Concentration. etc.

What if you drink too much water.

Some people think drinking too much water is also good. But it is not. Overhydration is an imbalance of fluids. It happens when your body takes in or holds on to more fluid than your kidneys can remove. Drinking too much water or not having a way to remove it can cause water levels to build up. This dilutes important substances in your blood. And most importantly it will make you go to toilet more and more and more. So just trust your thirst. Drink water when you feel the need of it.

You should make a habit of drinking a lot of water first thing in the morning. Clears your mind and fuels your body! At night time I put a little salt in the water so the body will absorb it (and you won't need to wake up in the middle of the night to pee) Just an additional piece of tips for those interested! Thank you for reminding me of how important water is for our bodies to function optimally§

You can hydrate with almost any liquid, even coffee and soda more hydrating qualities than dehydrating...

I'm not saying it's healthy, but it's BS that you HAVE to drink water and can't hydrate on anything else...

This article is based on water not hydration or any drinks. So there is nothing wrong. Undoubtedly you can hydret yourself with any drinks. But that is not the matter I discussed about.
