Experiments with Universal indicator paper

Finally got this in the post. Havent used litmus paper for a couple of decades so it was time to see how it works again. I learnt that coca cola can unblock sinks, so here it is the test to see how acidic it is.

The chart states the closest it is to red the more acid the material.

We had several cups of liquids including: river water, tap water, mineral water, orange juice and the cola.
Coca cola won the prize for most corrosive!


The local river water was a murky neutral.

A very interesting afternoon it was too. Coca cola is good for unblocking drains!
