Congressional Nominations for Tribute/Military Service Academies

Every now and then our members of the U.S Congress offer to nominate young people from their districts to our military service academies.

Here is part of an announcement I received this week from mine:

Also every now and then, our political "leaders" from George Bush Sr. to this member of Trump's team let slip that they consider war to be their after-dinner entertainment.

Is this why they won't pass that H.R. 608 bill to stop arming terrorists, because it would put a damper on their after-dinner entertainment?
