Star Black COffee
I entered a small coffee shop with a friend and ordered coffee. When we were on the table there were two people who came then they went to the counter: 'We ordered five copies, two for us and three "suspended." They paid their order, took only two glasses then left.
I asked my friend: "What is 'suspended coffees'?" My friend said: "Wait and you'll see."
Several more people came in. Two girls order each one coffee, pay and leave. The next order is seven copies ordered by three lawyers - three for them and four 'suspended'.
Frankly I'm still wondering what is meant by the deferred-hold transaction. While I enjoyed the sunny weather and the beautiful view towards the square in front of the cafe, suddenly a man dressed in a shabby looking like a beggar entered through the door and asked politely to the waitress "do you have 'coffee suspended'? ".
It's simple - someone pays in advance the coffee order then intends to help people who can not afford to buy warm drinks. This deferred coffee tradition started in Naples, and has now spread all over the world even in some places you can order not only coffee suspended but also sandwiches or food.
It would be wonderful if coffee shop owners or shops in every city do this so that the less fortunate can find hope and support. If you are a business owner try to offer this to your customers ..., we believe many of them support and love it.
