THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WANT AND NEED
What do we mean by needs? According to the meaning of English Dictionary it says: NEED is to want something urgently, to have need, a lack of something requisite or desirable. In Tagalog meaning, kailangan, pangangailangan.
What do we mean by want? According to the meaning of English Dictionary it says: WANT to feel a desire or wish for, the state or face of having two little of something desirable or needed. In Tagalog meaning, mangailangan, magkulang, naisin.
If you will analyze there is already a big difference from this two words that I am elaborating. If you will read those two words the meaning is really evident, no need to explain or elaborate.
For example why should you buy another phone if you already have one? What for? Is it just your WANT not to be late in the technology that we have right now? Or your phone really NEED a replacement?
Another example, if you are in the mall and you see this SHOES, you really like it. Should you buy it even if that is not a NEED and only a WANT because you just really like the shoes that you see?
Sometimes we are like that, or should I say most of the time, not so often, or always. Sometimes the WANT happen to us and not really the NEED especially when it comes to the things that easily get us attracted.
I guess we just have to think first and make a decision if it is really a necessity to have a one thing just to satisfy our want. For me the NEED should always be our first priority especially for the future of our family. The WANT will just be a gift for ourselves if we already achieve our NEED for our family.
