Walk With Me 6, The School!
So, I was wrong. This beauty was NOT a Middle School, but the Senior High School. It now serves several purposes, administrative offices for the school district, and it also houses the Adult Learning Center.
This lady is gorgeous.
I took these pictures the day before we moved, since we won't be close enough to walk to her anymore.
Neat smoke stack with some detail work in the masonry.
Another side, this campus takes up an entire block.
And this building is an old firehouse!
Stuff like this makes me wonder what it was like back then. How did the people of our past traverse these massive hills we live on? The buildings predate the widespread use of cars, and could those cars get up these hills???
One last picture of the school, it's pretty dramatic at night! If you ever want to visit it in person, you can find it on Lake St in Duluth. 💜
Thank you for walking with me!
I love the brick buildings, we don't have much brick around here, thanks for sharing <3 <3
It seems as if we've lost a certain grandness with today's architecture. Not that it isn't any less complicated...but something is missing! I spent the summer of 2015 just outside of Pueblo CO, the oldest city in the state. I enjoyed the different characters there. The old steel mill, the Polish houses in contrast to the Spanish influence. Ppl thought my affection for the town was nuts! But I couldn't believe what they were missing! I am still quite fond!! I wish I'd taken more pictures!!
Great architecture, looks like a really cool and well maintained building.
I love your comment it make sense
Imagine having that for a school! Pretty wicked! I'd love to be there just to see if I could find some old secretes :p
Right?! It's the American Hogwarts!
