Walk with me - Sculpture and paintings by Peter Wink
To day, I thought that I would introduce you to my( hubby) Peter Wink the Sculptor.
Peter was inspired at a very early age in junior school, by his Art Teacher Mr Dobbs, who encouraged him to pursue his talent as an artist.
His inspiration and ability to paint increased throughout his youth. After high School he had to go to do his National Service like most young men at the age of 18 years old.
While travelling through the country at this time, he saw many works of sculpture in different City centers.
Realizing that sculpture was for him, that was in 1968, he obtained tools and began teaching himself. In those days part-time Sculpture courses were not available.
After his National Service was done, he studied Fine Arts and Commercial Art part-time at Durban Technicon, apart from the training he received there , he is self taught.
He has sold extensively to private collectors, he has also done a few commissions, one being (Master Builders Association in Westville Durban.)
Peter and I ran our own Gallery for awhile and sold a number of pieces (Sculpture and Paintings ) there.
His name also appears in the 1983 edition of Esme Berman Art and Artist of South Africa.
Peter has also exhibited at venues around the country of South Africa. He is also part of The Art Saunter in Natal area.It is Artists and their workshops and Galleries on the map in Kwa Zulu Natal . www.saunter.co.za
Here are just a few of his works to share with you.
Peter is also called "The Torso Man" among fellow artists and clients.

Master @work! Love the bronze torso piece... and everything else hehe. Beautiful art work.
Thanks so much rhanks for the comment.
I especially like those rounded forms of the female body. The volumes that you create and the treatment you give to the surface encourage you to feel, not only with your sight but also with your touch. They are very interesting works. I practice watercolor.! [V04 In San Cristóbal.jpg] (). This is a mountain landscape that catches near my house.
Thank you so much @arcoiris that is so true , people do touch the pieces and feel it. I love your water color painting, you are very talented we would love to see some more of your work.
