Join me in creating a Steemit Bible of Tips for New Members
When you join a new platform, you inevitably feel lost.
You do not know what to do, you ask yourself thousand questions:
Why did I write the most beautiful post in history and didn't receive upvotes if not that of my mother?
How come nobody reads my posts?
How do I increase my following?
How do some people make hundreds of dollars by writing posts?
SP? STEEM? SBD? WTF ?!
Yes, we've all been trough that, but there is no reason to worry, we can all get where the most popular steemians are now. Dedication is key but there are some tips that you might want to integrate into your strategy.
I've always been a stealthy guy who learns by looking at the work of other people.
I'm not saying that you have to copy the strategy of others, it would not work as each person is different.
Personal touch is paramount.
What I'm saying is that studying successfull people's behaviour you are able to jump obstacles more easily and maybe even bypass them!
Well, since I'm on steemit, I looked around pretty much.
I have learned a lot from much more experienced people than me who I'm grateful to.
Let me take a real quick and genuine opportunity to thank @sean-king that through his support helped me not to give up when in a previous post I had highlighted my frustration about not being able to succeed with my posts although, in my opinion, were valuable and well written.
Jerry @jerrybanfield who has stimulated me with his comment on my "Dos & Don'ts"post.
It's always nice to receive compliments from popular users like him!

Since I have learned a whole lot from the advice of others, even just reading their posts or comments, I would also like other new users to get inspired by the more wise and experienced ones.

So let me start with my little suggestion:
Be yourself, be genuine. Don't lick asses. People are willing to help who deserves it.
I'm still new and inexperienced, so my knowledge is limited; however, the main takeaway from my first two days on Steemit is that it is possible to add value to the community from the start through thoughtful comments and discussion, and to start building up some Steem pretty quickly that way. Don't spam, don't be deceitful, don't beg; none of those are productive.

Great idea! Sometimes it feels like I still don't know what I'm doing here half the time. Still being pretty much a newbie, I'm afraid I don't have much wisdom to offer for this project other than one should take the time in the beginning to learn what a good blog post consists of... Good headline, image, etc.
Thank you @cosmicorder! For sure creating a quality post makes the difference yet as a "minnow" the biggest issue is the reach of that post. You could write the best post ever and yet get only 7 views on it. Relating with others is very important on steemit!
