Wake surfing for my 36th birthday - Thorpe Lakes

We haven't been for a little while as we've spent most of the Summer either paddleboarding or sky diving.

It was sooooo good to get back in the water, the lake temp was 28C!!!!

We got up there for 9:30am and it was dreamy, so flat and perfect for a crisp wake surf wave.

LDB Wake School use a Malibu Wakesetter, which is perfect for wake surfing as well as wakeboarding.

Wakes are generated by the boat displacing water as it moves through it. The deeper the boat rides, the more water it will displace, therefore creating a larger wake in its path. So...we obviously want to make a big surf wave, so we need the boat to ride lower in the water.

This Wakesetter has a Power Wedge and Surf Gate so we are able to easily customize the size, length and shape of wakes and surf waves for each rider.

Sarah and I both have it set up the same though.

Just look at how it sits in the water, its such a beauty!
