Multitude in solitude

Multitude is enticing
Plenty patronizing
No state of solitude
Collections of aptitudes

Fleet flocking in mass
Intimidate bandits bypass
As a lion attacks not cackle of hyenas
But obviously not a flock of sheep

Multitude lacking attitude
Is amplitude without fortitude
Darkness in cluster of light
Suffers like crop with blight

No compulsion in association
Number counts only in unionisation
Development occurs in harmonisation
Predator and prey unites in diversion

How can light extinguish dark while harbouring darkness?
Can a promiscuous priest preac and practice righteousness?
The chaff must leave the grains
For progress to be sustained.
