I’m sorry, babe!

I’m sorry but I have to let you go, babe. See, you are no longer the same person I saw and fell in love with. You have changed completely with no iota of resemblance to the person I first met in church on the Christmas morning of 2016.

You have replaced church and its activities with clubbing and smoking. You no longer pray but tweak all night moving from club A – Z. Your fridge is no longer stocked with juice but overtaken by multiplicities of alcohol. The size of your pulse has over grown so big with drugs; tablets, syrups, test tubes and condoms. Your mobile phone is a no go area; 32 GB storage is chock-full with nudes and adult contents. Your social media profiles too are wrecked with nudity.

I have tried to talk you out of this life but you won’t listen. You have sunk yourself deep into this mess that you have lost touch with your real self and reality. Nothing moves you anymore except for the taste of drugs and the sound of shaku-shaku in the night club. You have deserted your family and friends saying you are on a higher level. When last did you check on your mum? She is sick and dying in the village but you say she’s a witch ‘cos she spoke against your will.

See babe, you are beautiful no doubt but no man wants only beauty for a wife. We want more than just what we see. We desire to feel your brain navigating and undertaking responsibilities in the society even more than we desire to feel your boobs. Do not be deceived, many will clamp on you now and tell you all the soothing words you want to hear but you won’t see them here again after they are done and gone.

Pick yourself up now and let’s get things right this Christmas. Christ was born at this time for a good reason. It’s a time of reflection and self-evaluating and not for shacking and tweaking. Repent and pray to God for forgiveness and ask him for a new direction. He’s a good and loving God; he hears. So, I’m leaving you now with Jesus Christ, the savior. Merry Christmas!
