My home

Mother Africa,
Like the stars in the sky
She was made to shine
Nature sowed blessings,
In her sand.

Her son's walk on a worthy land
Blessed are the works of their hands
Endowed with strength
Living in good health
They built the walls that stand
And made the roads on the land

Nature gave her, her own wine
From her palms and vine
She has food to dine
She and her son's are fulfilled
They have a peaceful mind

Her daughters, beautiful.
Rich in melanin
Her dark skin glows
And without flaws
Her thick black hair
Creatively woven;
That it gives a meaning,
Which tells the unity,
of Africa.
The beauty,
of Africa.

The mothers and fathers of the land,
Words of wisdom fill their heart,
That they spit from their mouth,
To the youngsters of the land.

Her children,
Adorned with the beautiful fabric
Which is gladly woven without fatigue.
And the different colours of yarns,
Carefully interlaced in a loom
To form a cloth.
One cloth,
One fabric.
This tells that regardless which part of the land we are;
Together we are seen as the star,
High up in the dark sky,
We shine.
Yes, we shine.
In the dark skin, is a star that shines everywhere.
In Africa,
The sun smiles
The birds fly
The rivers flow
The trees wave
The flowers open
The animals on land and in water
The mountains
The valleys
The ocean
The dry land during harmattan,
They become wet when it rains.
This is the hope we have
That regardless the storms in our way,
They will surely fade away.
Our strength is in the HOPE we have.

My Africa,
A diamond that glitters
Gold that sparkles
Her seed is viable
Her land enviable
She's hospitable
Africa, my own
Africa, is my home.
