You are not in the wrong

Many at times we as individuals may feel pressured to always put on a brave and cheerful face irrespective of our inner turmoils or challenges which if they were revealed would shock the ignorant bystander.

As sleep continually evades me, I find myself pondering over this particular connudrum and the only reason I can come up with to explain away this desire to mask our pain (physical or emotional) is an innate albeit sometimes rare need to please the people around us.
"Why do I think so?" you might ask, well let's see.
Firstly, society has this nasty habit on looking down on people who wear their emotions on their sleeves regarding them as lesser beings with no self compusure, civility or whatever euphemism that comes to mind.
Secondly, God forbids you bemoan your condition or the situation you find yourself in, then you are seen as ungrateful, incompetent, a nuisance etc. In such scenarios the phrase "others are going through worse" keeps getting thrown in one's face, and I'm like so what if they are going through their own personal shit, it doesn't have to detract from mine pain or make it any less relevant.
When I think about the multiple negative reactions revealing the inner you tends to garner as opposed to the positive ones, I have come to the conclusion that it's best to be like the "smiling in pain" people around you and stamp on a facade as you go through your journey called life so as to avoid being an inconvenience until you are fortunate enough to find that person(s) ready to see the real you through the facade and various layers of bullshit and accept you without prejudice or criticism (negative).

Now these are just my personal opinions which may seem a tad bit pessimistic and on the dark side and I blame my never ending insomnia for that as im normally an optimistic person at times. Feel free to drop your comments whether you concur or disagree while I go count 🐑🐑 🐑.
