The Last Word
My parents gave me life and have also ruined my life. They are worthy of my love and hate but in balancing this equation, all equals zero. Even if I leave now, at great cost, the damage they have done is irreversible in my reality. I'm a sensitive coward who fears losing what love I have in this world even if it's covered in poison. I have no confidence in myself. I wish I could find a new reality. I will try to write one. When my book of dreams is finished, then I will make my peace with all that could have been that is lost. I will move on hopeful, ever hopeful, until this life is spent.
