RE: CUTTING THE CORD - no more Land Line Telephone

in #voip7 years ago

This was done a decade ago in our home. We went to cell only and never looked back. These days we have a free cell phone plan from FreedomPop as an extra phone for around the house. It has no monthly costs for very basic service, but way more then we need for around the house.

Our home phone bill was running a little over $40 a month, just about $500 a year, after all the taxes. Not only do I not miss the home phone, I really don't miss giving our politicians more money to misuse or flat out steal.

thanks for the Reply @thedarkhorse. The cell phone is the best way to go for sure.

We have 4 cell phones in the house already and soon to be 5 - big house, big family - grandpa and grandma, daughter and 3 teenage grandchildren.

We needed one common shared phone number + 5 handsets to have phone access to that number anywhere in the house, so we went VOIP and love the savings and the service.

and grandma isn't a cell phone fan.

For sure with that many people in the house VOIP is a great option. If you just need to reach someone at the house and don't care who it works out perfect.
