RE: Vocab-ability–158 (nihil, nil = nothing) – A More Powerful Vocabulary (earn UpVotes with “Vocab Practice” exercise)

MY VOCAB PRACTICE:

  1. Annihilate:
When I think of the horror vacui, the fear of empty space, my parents come to me in my dreams with their visions of what is right for me to do.

  2. Nihilism:
If I recall correctly, Schopenhauer believed in nihilism while his student, Nietzsche believed in asceticism.

  3. Nil:
The score reads nil to one-hundred and twenty.

  4. Nihilist:
The thought crossed my mind that a libertarian might fall in line with a nihilist's point of view (then I read your example sentence and busted out laughing!).

Sort:

Good work!

I sometimes think that libertarians might be better off if they adopted nihilism.
