Ivy league college students have a bad egomania which drive some to suicide when they can not perform up to expectations.
Most corporate CEOs are megalomaniacs.
Some people become erotographomaniacs after they have relationship issues and write lots of love letters.
His dipsomania lead him to a bar at 1AM.

As for your accurate observation in #2, I've read quite a bit on the subject, and many CEOs and big bizmen are in fact psychopaths. They have one obsession / one target / one focus, and nothing stands in the way of them achieving their target. Good for business, BUT horrible for society and horrible for company culture.
