Here we go round the mulberry bush! Food forest tour: VLOG 8
This week's food forest VLOG (click above) update focuses on showing some of the design changes we are continuing to implement....like the pergola...in zone 5. We also show... some of the first fruits....arriving in the garden!!! The mulberries!!!! Cherries and plums aren't far behind the mulberries. Come take a look at the cascade of colors right now. Thanks for viewing Steemit!!!!! We appreciate ALL of you!!!!
A special thanks to James Prigioni @gardeningchannel ...here on Steemit!!!!! We appreciate you so much for mentioning us in your recent vlog..and HUGE THANKS.....to all of his viewers/followers...that took the time to come over here and say hi... and view our posts and videos!!!!! James...YOU INSPIRE!!!! Double thanks for mentioning Steemit at the end of all of your videos on youtube!!!! You're raising the awareness of Steemit and the Steem blockchain to a very wide audience daily!!!
Our son....helping us set up the pergola this week. He decided to jump in the wheel barrow...and just play. Thanks for reminding us to play bud!!!! You can see the pergola below. Slowly developing this area into a nice relaxing hearth area of the garden...where we can all enjoy the sights...sounds ..and smells together. A sensory garden!!!
We have many types of mulberry growing in the garden....and most of them are fruiting. The weeping black mulberry and the pakistan mulberries are below!!!!
Our son, river....trying his first fresh pakistani mulberry. he was a little unsure at first...but you can see his reaction after his first taste. :)) pure JOY!
A couple of cool regular residents in the food forest. These large lizards are abundant. Small ones too!
This hummingbird....sat still at the very top of a large pine tree overlooking the food forest. I zoomed in to catch it. Sorry for the blur. It just blew my mind...it chose that spot. :)
So much to capture right now in the food forest....that most of the images above are just a small glimpse...and my best attempt to capture the magic we feel here. ENJOY THE FULL VIDEO TOUR ...above fellow Steemians...and thank you for taking the time to view, upvote...and re steem our posts!!!
Happy gardening!!!!!!
VERY impressive!!! Are you a full-time gardener?
thank you so much!!!!!!!! i'm a full time daddy...and part time gardener. ;)
Well maybe when your child gets older you can get a crew going. ;) lol
Do you use @dustsweeper?
just saw your new post: https://steemit.com/introduce/@mysearchisover/4-months-of-earnings-ned-consensus-2018-video-2-sbd-bounty-128 awesome!
Thanks. Hopefully this next month is even better. I am optimistic. Hopefully I don't make any serious mistakes and nothing goes too wrong. lol I also have some blog posts about the earnings threshold. The I got robbed might be a good one to read. I think we need better help and training on this platform.
lol...cheers to that!!!!!! hmmm...i'm checking it out now. looks awesome! i noticed estabond...came in an upvoted your comment. nice! i'll probably sign up! i'll sniff it out a little more. good ROI? thanks!!!!!!!!! i love this blockchain!!!!!!!!!
@estabond is a bot. I like upvoting myself but my solo upvotes don't count so I use various bots. There is a .02 earnings threshold so if I upvote your reply I am basically wasting my upvote unless you use a bot.
It's pretty complicated for me to try and figure out the ROI on @dustsweeper but if you have a .01 cent upvote I think it would be pretty good because otherwise that upvote would be completely wasted.
sweet. that makes sense. just read all i could on it. i'll send in some SBD soon and give it a whirl. https://steemit.com/community/@dustsweeper/ann-introducing-dustsweeper-a-new-service-to-turn-dust-into-profit
Yeah let me know when you do. Doesn't look like you have any to send them right now. lol Thanks for the upvotes.
sweet!!! sure will! i get paid from the brandonfrye bot later today. i delegate to his bot. i'll send some over then. ;) thank YOU...for all the info..and upvotes via...information and empowement! proof of brain!

Everything looks fantastic!
thank you so much!!!!!
You have a variety of fruits. This is an almost complete garden. Although you have some kinds of mulberry, but my attention is on the figs. When you are continue the video recording I saw there are figs. I'm glad you have figs because it is very beneficial for health if consumed regularly. To be honest, this is very impressive when enjoying time with family, there!
oh i'm so glad you enjoyed the figs!!!!!!! thanks for your kind comment and upvote!!! they are truly one of my favorites in the whole garden!!! i agree...so wonderful for health!!! we are growing multiple varieties. the brown turkery, black mission, black jack...and kadota. always looking to add more culivars!!!!! the black madiera type of fig....is calling to me!!!!
You have some interesting things growing. I love artichokes but I don't think I can grow them in PA. How long do they take to mature? Are they a permanent bush or do you have to plant them every year? I never really looked into it.
thank you so much for your kind comment! we are growing sun chokes and globe artichoke. the globe artichoke once harvested....is pretty much done. the jerusalem...chokes are tubers...and perennial. a relative of the globe artichoke called cardoon...is more a perennial. check out dan and the plant abundance channel on youtube. he talks a lot about cardoon..and globe artichoke.
