Chinese Working Visa Application - RSA citizen
applying for a working visa in China is not as easy as it seems, with so few people being able to assist and having the correct process at hand, i thought i would help where i can - for those as unlucky as me who are struggling :-D

Working Visa application process:
here are just a few details and some information on the process for those applying for a Chinese working Visa - from South Africa
The entire process will be between 2 and 3 months
Complete a tefl course online - min 60hr course
Apply for police clearance at your nearest police station
- Cost R120.00
- deliver receipt of application for police clearance to SAPS criminal record centre Pretoria.
You will get an sms +-2 days after delivery to confirm that is is being processed, a second sms will come through between 10 and 30 days after processing for you to collect (collect on second sms)
Go for a full medical at your nearest doctor - requirements form will be supplied by agent.
Cost +- R1000 unless on medical aid.
Blood tests and xray includedHave you highest qualifications certificate ready
Matric certificate : Umlasi will authenticate
other : to be taken to the department of higher education and then to the high courttake all 3 documents to DIRCO in Pretoria for authentication.
you will need an access card from the gatehouse before you can enter
you wait while documents are being authenticated
no costtake all 3 authenticated documents to the consulate - not embassy for notirization, will cost around R750.00 and takes 5 working days ( if normal service is selected)
The organisation you will be working at in China will now need you to scan every page of all these documents to them to apply on their side
when confirmation letter is received submit Visa application to the embassy - not consulate
please let me know if anyone else has some tips or experienced the process differently
It seems everyone wants you to travel and be productive, but wants to make it as hard as possible to do so. With all the non assimilating travelers that end up a burden on some poor taxpayer somewhere I suppose more and more governments will become very careful.
