Plant height up to 15 centimeters.
Root with a thick creeping rhizome giving numerous rosettes of basal leaves and above-ground rooting at the nodes of shoots.
The fruit is in the form of spherical triangular boxes, covered with short hairs.
Violet reproduces by seeds, which are dispersed by ants and vegetatively.
It is a perennial plant.
Violet blooms in April and early may, fruiting in June.
Scented violet grows in deciduous forests and glades.
