Bitfinex Re-Opens but..
Bitfinex announced on 12 January that it's re-opening its door to new registrant.
Good news? Yes and no...
Yes: They are open to new registrations but there's a new account requirements:
"New accounts will need to deposit fiat or crypto to achieve minimum account equity of 10,000 USD equivalent before they can trade or offer funding. After reaching this minimum, an account becomes fully activated (Note that after this initial activation, account equity is allowed to drop below this activation threshold without consequence)."
No: 10K USD or equivalent deposit ? You must be joking Bitfinex.
Anyway, the business of crypto-exchanges is getting more competitive.
New exchanges like Binance and Kucoin welcome everyone with open arms with no deposit requirements and they offered so many features not available in Bitfinex.
So, if you are new in trading crypto-currency, I would recommend you open an account in Binance and Kucoin instead.
