More Footage of "How I Learned To Stop Worrying and Enjoy the End of the World" (PC, Steam)
Most days, I sit in front of the laptop in a dead
silence working on graphical assets for the game I
am developing. Today, I spent the day on Social Media in an attempt to promote the game and hopefully secure funds that will allow me to continue development unabated.
During that process, I managed to make a couple more videos of game footage. You can view those by clicking on the options below.
Also, I finally "grew a pair" and launched a GoFundMe
campaign. I was a bit nervous about doing it, considering that historically speaking, I get literally no attention or help from people on the internet. However, the pressing issue of maybe becoming homeless pushed me into doing it.
Originally, I intended to let my mom support me until game development was finished (2022), but then the landlords up and decided to nearly double our rent. My mom can barely afford rent and food as it is. This rent increase will force my mom to seek the only other affordable option in town, which would be a studio apartment that actually costs more than our rent was prior to the increase. Of course, this means I will likely be homeless. If you wanna help, please share my GoFundMe Campaign.
If not, then I will be homeless then continue development nonetheless. It will just take a lot longer to get it finished and it will be challenging keeping the laptop safe from the elements. It is just too bad that the library isn't open for more than 6 hours a day.
Images are from prior to having the characters on screen but, it does show how enemies display the damage dealt to them. This can help the player determine when to save on ammo then finish the enemy off with the weaker melee attacks.
I hope you enjoyed. My brother played the demo and even though he isn't a fan of RPG's at all, he had a good time. He told me that the "survival horror" strategy coupled with the turn-based gameplay made for a fun experience. He especially loved the characters, the plot and the humor of the dialogue. That made me happy because he is hard to please. lol...
