This actually looks like fun, unlike the Doom flop, which used a different game engine for single player and multipleayer. (Mulitplayer playing like a slow call of duty clone, with more focus on pretty outfits than gameplay physics.) Just like the previous versions, Quake looks faster, more brutal, and has a better soundtrack!

Looking forward to see how the game will be. The new doom was superb for me so I got great hopes that the Quake franchise would go back to its roots as well, but this trailer doesn't impress me too much (yet)..
Me too. Doom single player was pretty good, cool monsters to fight. I was disappointed in multiplayer. no physics, rockets to the face don't even blast you back, and its too slow.
Quake looks fast enough to be fun, and physics are lookin good, even the rocket jump is back! Can't wait to test out the new card on it.
Yeah I think they should have left out the multiplayer. Doom was always about single player. I think this will be a better multiplayer!
