My lovely fishes - Danio margaritatus

I try to multiply my favorites fishes!

That is Danio margaritatus.

that species was discovered in 2006 and can be found in many aquariums today. The good thing is, in the wild the species is rarely caught and exported, because this species is very good at breeding.

The fish is only 2-3 cm and therefore popular for small aquariums, so-called "nano cube". However, I have them in a 200 liter society pool with a lot of vegetation.

In the basin they have already spawned, unfortunately, the small fish are eaten quickly without extra care or starve to death in the pool, first is the bigger problem.

So I put the fishes in a small basin without other fishes. But they did not feel well there. I put it back then. I think they were too stressed because of the small aquarium.

In the picture you can see two males on the show. You can see their fire-colored fins.
That species is easy to hold, from a tank size of 30 liters.
But I think you should rather choose a bigger aquarium, and with a little patience, makes a lot more.. .
In any case totally relaxed to watch the little evening on the coach ...
