#GRATEFULVIBES - ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE AND WEEKLY THOUGHTS - 26 FEB 2022 - 04 MAR 2022
Good morning, Steemians! 😊
I think our pretty puppy mom Karma is the only member of our family that didn’t mind the colder temperatures we had here this week. 😊
One of our Woodpeckers stopping in for some suet. 😊
Since Christmas day, when our house stove decided to die on us without warning, we’ve been using the wood stove that heats our house to also cook a lot of our meals, like this beef stew that fed us for three days this week and was tasty to the end. 😊
If I tried to eat upside like this, I’d choke or fall off. LOL! 😊
Pigeons on the feeders. 😊
One of my better pictures of our view of Mount Katahdin over in Maine, USA from our homestead in New Brunswick, Canada. 😊
That same stew when we heated it up on day two. 😊
The blue, pink, orange, purple and grey made this my favourite sunrise of the week. 😊
I’ve recently started trying to come up with my own version of hand cream and this week; I’m trying for something similar to a “Burt’s Bee’s” type but haven’t quite come up with the right combination of ingredients yet. I did make a version for my handsome husband and I to use that has Beeswax (from years ago when we had beehives), coconut oil, rosemary oil, lemongrass oil and eucalyptus oil; until I figure it out that we think is quite nice. 😊
We’ve been putting out a couple of eggs for the Crows/Ravens, (I can’t tell the difference,) each day and throwing a couple of handfuls of feed around on the hill of snow around them for the other birds. The Snow Buntings seem to really like that. 😊
We’ve been getting more frequent visits from the brown-winged Pigeon on the right, the one that we call “Peace”. 😊
If our weather had been warmer this week, we would have spent a lot more time enjoying the aerial displays of our feathered friends, but we still managed to catch a few nice ones. 😊
We love it when “Half-Penny” comes by, he hangs out for a nice long chat and a good feed and he never startles when my handsome husband and I move around him, which we think is pretty cool. Now we just have to wait for the day he decides to come right up to one of us, that will even better! 😊
Some of our puppies playing in the front yard. 😊
We have had quite a few visits from our Chickadees this week and they’ve even hung out with us for a bit when we decided to take a break in what will become our firepit/sunset watching spot once we’ve finished working on the rock wall. 😊
So, we got back from our replenishment run to town to find our naughty cow babies out of their area and in our backyard. My handsome husband took them back over to the barn and put them in for the night while I worked on getting supplies put away. It wasn’t until later that we realized the silly cows had tried to climb on our unfinished rock wall while we were gone and they collapsed a small section of it, which wasn’t very nice because we can’t fix it until the snow goes and everything thaws out. Oh well, it just gives a starting point to work on in the spring, I guess. 😊
Well, that was how things have been going for us here. I hope you have all been safe and healthy and have had an amazing week! 😊 I’m grateful to God for blessing us with another week to share with you here. 😊 God bless you all. 😊 Have an awesome week everyone! 😊
