An absolutely beautiful get away in Vermont
Hello Steem heads!
I wanted to share a (now not so secret) spot we found in upstate Vermont prime for listening to Loons and other birds as well as seeing moose and many other wildlife.
It's called Green River Reservoir State Park in Hyde Park, VT.
A decent sized lake with large islands you can kayak to and camp on (which we did). The lake is super clean and you can catch things like Pike, bass, etc and see the fish swimming right underneath you.
Here I was collecting lake water to run through my Sawyer Squeeze to filter into drinking water. I plan on doing a review of my Sawyer Squeeze on Steemit because I think it is an amazing tool to have with you while camping/backpacking
The above photos are a zoomed in pic of some Loons
The night sky was so bright and clear that we could see shooting stars that last for 3-4 maybe even 5 seconds long. So cool.

Vermont is an incredible state. The whole thing is so empty and rugged it makes you feel like you’re in a fantasy land. I’ve done some camping around Mt. Ascutney and drove the state once from top to bottom. Can’t wait to explore more of this very cool state!
Its beautiful. So much to offer in one state. Also the breweries aren't so bad either ;) I spend a lot of time in VT. Mostly around Jay Peak.
