En los últimos años, y a raíz de una serie de eventos que me ha tocado vivir, adopté como mi consentida una frase que leí en algún lado en Facebook, durante esos momentos en los que navegas por tu feed sin prestar realmente atención a lo que ves. Así me ocurrió con esta, que hoy viene a mi memoria en la que ha sido la peor situación que he vivido hasta ahora; de sobra conocida por todos: la situación vivida en mi país, Venezuela. La frase que hoy traigo a ustedes reza lo siguiente:

"El momento más oscuro es justo antes del amanecer"

Esta frase ha sido como mi talismán en los momentos de oscuridad. Si somos capaces de ver el sol cada día después de una espesa y oscura noche, significa que también podemos ver la luz después de una desgracia. Y prefiero pensar que es así. Aún cuando la impotencia y la rabia me asaltan, no abandono la esperanza de que un día podamos ver esa tan anhelada luz después de esta larga noche, y de seguro va a brillar con tanta fuerza que olvidaremos lo desdichados que una vez fuimos.

In the latest years, and due to many things that I've been through, I made this phrase my favorite. I read it somewhere in Facebook, scrolling without paying attention to what I saw. Today, I remember this phrase at this moment of my life, which is probably the worst one because of the situation that my country, Venezuela, is going through. This phrase that I'm telling you about writes:

"The darkest moment is that one just before a sunrise"

This phrase has been like a charm to me in my darkest moments. If we are capable of see the sun every day after a bold black night, that means we can also see the light after a misfortune. And I'd rather think that way. Although I feel attacked by fear and rage sometimes, I always embrace hope, I believe that we are going to see that desired light after this long night, and it is going to be so bright that we are going to forget how miserable we were once.
