A narrative of experience of driving with Isuzu Dmax in Seulawah Expedition 2018

Last month, I achieved a milestone in my which was one of my best life experiences which was being a part of an extreme 4x4 expedition during the period of 5 days. At first, it was almost impossible to involve in since I would spend a long period of an isolation in a deep jungle of Aceh Province. But, with a serious and intensive consideration, I decided to participate in. Lucky me, it was a long weekend holiday, therefore, I would be able to leave my routines. In addition, the expedition was managed by a local off-road lovers. I joined a vehicle of double cabin team which I was only a passive participant due to my lack of experience driving directly in an extreme arena. I was welcomed by a friend and being a passenger of his car, Bang Anto.

The route of the expedition was a combination of simple to difficult obstacles and challenges. Rivers, hills, valleys, muddy roads, and V shaped down and up tracks were designed to all participants. I observed skill and motivated drivers in passing any obstacles whom I concluded of their hobbies.

Driving with a Japanese car brand, Isuzu Dmax, I was able to enjoy the "harmony" of the expedition. The car was pretty much designed and modified with extra additional assembling in order to deal with extreme tracks. Indeed, the Dmax has been heighten which eases it to accelerate with muddy traps. One of positive adjustment of its original design was the Dmax would allow it to be pretty easy in swampy route. Planned for 5 days exploration, Dmax was able to make on schedule and without any major troubles in tracks. At my point of view, the combination of an experienced driver and a powerful Dmax would leave you an expensive trip. Deep in the jungle, off-road vehicles met lots of almost "impossible" route to drive through but with 4 wheel drive car like Isuzu Dmax, we would be able to make and enjoy it.

Isuzu Dmax also allows passengers to feel safe. The additional of some safety features to support the safety regulations of the expedition, it guarantees its passengers being protected in case of any accident. The fact that the equipment of safety was no compromised since in some obstacles, safety of the driver and passengers were absolutely required. During the V shaped obstacle for instance, the safety of the navigator was pretty much prioritized. In addition, the driver was also protected.

Extreme expedition was for sure amazing. There were significant experiences and lessons.
