Wednesday Vehicle Photography: Electric Car for Rent, รถไฟฟ้าให้เช่า

This is my entry for vehiclephotography contest hosted by @juliank.

It is now officially in operation! There are about twenty electric cars for public use around Siam Square, MBK, Chulalongkorn University and Sam-Yan area in the center of Bangkok. These are safer and faster than traveling by rented bicycles. People who are interested have to do some kind of registration so that they would have some kind of smart-card to switch on these electric cars. The cost for an hour is around twenty bahts which is much cheaper than taking a taxi for one to three kilometers. There is space for only one person and some storage space at the back of the car. Personally, I wouldn't want to try this out, as they are too small and too slow for me. Maximum speed is about sixty kilometers per hour which is acceptable for Bangkok traffic. And the driver has to park the car at assigned car park so that the battery can be recharged for the next journey.

รถไฟฟ้าขนาดเล็กเปิดให้บริการแล้ว ในระแวกสามย่าน จุฬา สยามสแควร์ และมาบุญครอง เป็นการทดลองตลาดโดยล่อให้วัยรุ่่นที่มีเงินมาลองขับเล่นในระแวกนี้ แต่รถนี่มีเพียงหนึ่งที่นั่งและมีที่เก็บของด้านหลัง ค่าใช้จ่ายประมาณชั่วโมงละ 20 บาท ผู้สนใจต้องไปลงทะเบียนก่อน แล้วต้องมีบัตรแบบสมาร์ทการ์ดไว้ใช้เปิดใช้รถยนต์นี้ คิดดูแล้วโครงการนี้ไม่น่าจะทำเงินได้ เพราะวัยรุ่นไปเที่่ยวสยามสแควร์ เขาไปกันเป็นกลุ่ม หรือว่าจะให้คนทำงานย่านนี้ใช้เพราะถูกกว่าเรียกแท็กซี่ แต่รถนี่ไปไกลไม่ได้ เดี่ยวไฟหมด จึงต้องไปจอดตามจุดที่มีการเติมไฟฟ้าได้ ความเร็วก็ไม่เกิน 60 กม. ต่อชั่วโมง ซึ่งก็เหมาะกับสภาพรถติดในกลางเมือง เราคงไม่ลองแน่นอน ดูมันบอบบาง และเล็กเกินไป ไปขับโกคาร์ดจะสนุกกว่ามาก เห็นรถนี่แล้วน่าจะเหมาะกับคนที่ไม่ชอบเดินไปช๊อบปิ้ง และไม่ชอบรอรถเมล์ หรือนั่งซ้อนรถจักรยานยนต์ ยังไม่รู้ว่ามีจุดจอดรถให้เติมไฟฟ้ากี่แห่งกัน ถ้าขับไปมาบุญครองแล้วไฟฟ้าหมด คงต้องหาคนช่วยเข็นเข้าข้างทางแน่เลย
