🍽 Stay healthy! 🥜 🍌🍫 Chocolatey Delicious Vegan Brownies without refined ingredients!🥜 🍫 🎂 🍌😋
Dear Chocoholics and Health lovers with a sweet tooth,🍫
Today I present you with another delicious sweet that is actually very healthy! 👍
It is my favorite Brownie recipe!
This post is also my entry for the #VeganChocolateContest hosted by @deliciousplants.
I often bring them to parties 🎉 and people love 💖 them!
At parties, I ask them to guess the main ingredient, but so far, they have failed miserably most of the time. 🤣
Haha, the reason is, that in the end product you do not taste it in any way. 😃
I am speaking of canned kidney beans. They give the brownies a wonderfully moist texture - and they are very healthy!👍
Another unusual ingredient is dehydrated carrots. They also add a very creamy consistency to the brownis. But where to get them? It is easy: If you like juicing carrots, just take the pulp that remains after juicing. Don't throw it away.
Another bonus of this recipe is that there are no refined ingredients included: 😄👍
We will use ripe bananas instead of refined table sugar (it is important that they have black spots on the peel, otherwise they are not sweet enough to replace the sugar). Instead of oil we will use nut butter. And instead of white flour we will use whole grain flour.
Ingredients
- 420 g kidney beans🌱
- 4 ripe bananas 🍌(should have dark dots on them)
- 20 g ground flax seed 🌱
- 140 g fresh dates, pitted
- 40 g raisins or dried cranberries 🍇
- 200 g grated almonds or nut/seed butter (e.g. tahin, peanut butter) 🥜
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 200 g dehydrated carrots 🥕 (the material remaining after making carrot juice with a juicer)
- 85 g cocoa powder 🍫
- 110 g whole grain flour
- Soy milk or tea or water 💦 (amount depending on all your other ingredients; the resulting dough should be fairly firm )
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to about 200 degrees Celsius (400 degrees Fahrenheit).
- Put the beans, banana, dates, dehydrated carrots, ground flax seeds and nut/seed butter in a heavy-duty blender. Put also some liquid into the blender and puree the ingredients until they are smooth (if not all ingredients fit into the blender, do it step-by-step).
- Add the baking powder, cocoa powder and flour and pulse the blender until they turn into a smooth dough. After blending, add the raisins or cranberries and the grated almonds into the dough - don't blend them!
- Pour the resulting dough into a brownie baking sheet (covered with backing paper).
- Put it in the oven for 25-35 minutes. The exact time depends on your oven. It is ready until a toothpick comes out clean. It is important not to overbake! It should not turn black on the surface. 😉
- Once the brownies are ready, pull them from the oven and let them cool thoroughly. After this, cut into squares.
The brownies are best eaten quickly - in the space of one or two days. If you want to keep them for a longer time, you can also freeze them! 😀 ❄
Best wishes!

This looks amazing. My blender's broken, so I wonder if you could just cook carrots and mash them up. and drain the juice Maybe I'll try that.
Hmm, that's a good question of this works. If you do it this way be careful not to add to much water, becaue the carrots might contain more liquids than in the original recipe.
Good luck! 😉 👍
