Homemade Oven Chips and Guacamole | Vegan Adventures
Today I had a craving for oven chips and I had a ripe avocado laying around so what sounds better than putting the two together and making chips with guacamole. I had never really done guacamole but I knew the basics of it so just went with it. And this is the result of that.
For the Guacamole you will need:
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1/2 red onion
- 1/2 tomato
- 1/2 lime
- seasonings of your choice (salt and pepper)
All you need to do is mash the avocado and add finely chopped red onion and tomato.
Then you can chose whichever seasonings you want, I added some pink salt and black pepper.
And finish off with a squeeze of lime.
For the chips you will need:
- 4 small potatoes
- seasonings of your choice (salt, paprika, dried oregano, garlic powder)
First pre-heat oven to 180ºC. Peel the potatoes and slice them into wedges. Place in a bowl and let's get to seasoning, I chose not to use any oil and just sprinkle some salt, paprika, dried oregano and garlic powder over them and then give them a nice shake until every chips is well coated. Place on a non stick baking sheet and put it in the oven for 30 minutes.
And there you go, perfect for a lazy Saturday snack. Hope you enjoy :)
