Energetic Vampires

The newage movement and the following of the wrong voice

In the world, I've discovered there are social vampires or energetic vampires. Most are not aware that this is what they are. I am simply aware of their presence because like a little child they find a way to put the awareness of the group back to them. Sometimes this is entirely unconscious and it can be stupid things like 'accidentally' dropping something. This phenomena happens too often for it not to be addressed. There is a very small probability the attention grabbing behaviour is chance. It can also be silly things like grabbing your arm or touching your body without your consent; weird ways of speaking; constantly needing to get you to repeat what you say; holding a walking group back by constantly stopping for 'very good reasons' (shoelace, phone call to the dentist, getting a juice, walking slowly in general); being airy fairy and calling it being spiritual; walking next to them in a straight line and they constantly walk into you as though attached to your body; constantly being in your face with 'helpful' things; expecting a normal conversation the moment you've woken up.

I find I have to get away from these people. I feel energy leave me and they keep on sucking. My defences go up. I make up some stupid reason for reason for leaving and I get out of there. If it is persistent and I can't get away from the person. Sometimes I address it, sometimes I speak to a person of understanding within the group. At the end of the day, I'm alone, I'm not a afraid of being alone, so if I have to be, I just tell everyone I need my fucking space.

Quite often these people are happy to blame you for their problems if you say what is happening. Communication about the issue is not possible 98 percent of the time.

This whole 'trust yourself' movement is great. It's just one thing, people start to trust their higher self which is great too but other's latch onto something darker than their higher self (due to an unsatisfied desire for more in life and unconditionally submitting to greed) that gives them benefits of good feelings in return for sucking off people's energy. For the sorry people that have walked down this path for a long time and are completely unaware of it, what they trust as their intuition, as the right thing to do, to 'follow their gut' is actually this darkness. Many are quite convinced that they are on the path of love and light but there is nothing further from the truth. Taking responsibility by seeing what they are, what they've done and what energies they've aligned themselves with is the first step; and it may take the gutter or death to find that realisation.

Quite often you'll find them in love and light groups sucking the energy out of people's souls.

I'm not joking.

Quickly you'll learn how to defend yourself and when to speak up.

Ultimately, you can isolate yourself and just get away. And if you can't do that, find a way to do it within.

Having energy and wanting to do big things has its perks and attracts its parasites.

Every now and then I come across one that is convinced I am the saviour (well not exactly) but actually just wants to latch onto my energy and suck. Like a little child that was removed from its mother too soon, never having learned to stop sucking milk from other people and start producing their own nutrients through solids.
